As we wrote this blog post we had sand between our toes and ocean breeze in our hair (can't every weekend be like this?). This past weekend we had a much needed Girl's Trip to the Outer Banks. When talking to the girls about ideas they would like to read about on our blog, someone mentioned packing for a trip. For this particular trip, four girls managed to completely fill an SUV, which prompted our coming up with tips for space-saving packing.

Tip 1-Accessorize! One way to recycle an outfit without anyone knowing is to wear different accessories with it, and they take up less space than clothing.

Tip 2-Bring a great pair of jeans. You can pack several shirts that coordinate with your go-to pairs of jeans and no one will know the difference.  Throw on those accessories and you are good to go!

Tip 3-Layer. Layering can really increase your number of outfits without taking up space. As seen in the picture above, our friend Alana was able to go from day to night by adding a trendy cardigan to her dress (paired with our Katie Leigh Hollow Leaf necklace)

Tip 4-Shoes for any occasion-unless you have a formal event to attend, try to bring just one or two pairs of shoes that will be versatile enough to wear with most of the outfits your brought. My go-to is a pair of nude flats.

Hopefully you can keep these tips in mind when packing for your next trip :) Special thanks to Alana and Erica for their help and ideas!
